New & Move-In-Ready Apartments in Worcester, MA
“Move-in ready” gets used loosely, but with brand-new construction it means exactly what it says: everything is new, everything works, and nothing is worn out. The Kiln is one of Worcester’s newest communities — built from the ground up in the Greendale neighborhood.
What “move-in ready” really means
In older housing, “move-in ready” can hide years of wear — scuffed floors, aging appliances, systems on their last legs. With new construction, there’s none of that. At The Kiln, you’re the first to live in your home: the finishes are pristine, the mechanicals are current and efficient, and everything is under warranty. You unpack and you’re done.
Brand-new finishes and appliances
The Kiln was designed with “modern industrial” forms and refined interiors. Every home features granite countertops, hardwood cabinetry, and modern fixtures, paired with a full suite of brand-new GE appliances — french-door refrigerators, Energy Star range hoods, and more. It’s a kitchen that looks and performs like new because it is.

In-unit laundry and smart living
Two things renters ask for constantly — and rarely get in older buildings — come standard here. Every apartment includes a new GE front-load washer and dryer, so laundry never leaves your home. And the whole community runs on smart entry: get into your apartment and the building by mobile device or keypad, no fumbling for keys.

Efficient by design
New, Energy Star–rated appliances and current building systems keep the everyday running smoothly.
Fitness & coworking
An on-site fitness center and a coworking lounge mean the gym and the home office are downstairs.
Outdoor amenities
Grilling stations, fire pits, seating, and an off-leash dog park across the landscaped grounds.
Studios to two-beds
A range of studio, one-, and two-bedroom floor plans to match how you live.
The Kiln is new, but its name reaches back more than 160 years. Greendale is where the Norton Company began — and it began with a kiln. In 1858 the Norton family opened a Worcester pottery shop; in 1873 a potter fired a mix of emery and clay in the Norton kiln and produced a working grinding wheel. In 1885, seven entrepreneurs bought the patent, purchased Greendale farmland, and built the plant that became the world’s largest maker of abrasives.
A modern building, standing on the ground where craft became industry — that’s the story behind the name.
