A FORMED COMMUNITY
The Kiln brings 111 thoughtfully designed studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms to Worcester. Informed by the location's industrial past, The Kiln honors craftsmanship through its modern interiors and curated amenities.
The Kiln was inspired by the rich history of potters and ceramists who operated out of the surrounding neighborhood of Greendale.
In 1858, Franklin Norton and Frederick Hancock opened their own pottery shop in Worcester, specializing in redware and stoneware pottery. Seven Worcester entrepreneurs then bought their company in 1885 and went on to purchase land in Greendale, building their first grinding wheel plant. The Greendale factory was notable for its manufacturing innovation and still stands to this day.
